  • A few notes on fserves and xdcc bots...

Fserves are personal file servers usually setup through IRC addons such as sysreset and are not offical AF-F file servers. We do not control these nor do we take responsibility for what they serve as this would be too time consuming to manage. Our offical bots are prefixed with AF| and are generally hops in the room. We do control these and maintain the packs. As per our decision to handle licensed material we remove any episodes that are available on DVD in the US.
Note that our bots are XDCC bots and are typically run from the program iroffer which works very different than a fserve type script. These bots *may* respond to !list and never respond to @find. As some of these bots have many packs for the most part all of them disable xdcc listing and will redirect you to http://xdcc.aniemforever.org. Please use the website to check pack listings.
If you're new to these bots the main thing you need to know is that xdcc bots are ours and will carry our releases. If you're looking for other things try the fserves. However other group releases are best found in their own rooms.

  • My <insert series here> episode doesn't play; freezes; or has only audio;... Why?
(even though some episodes work while the new ones dont)

All of our projects are encoded in Xvid, so for the best way to fix such common problems are to update to the newest Xvid codec! You can find it here at http://www.koepi.org.

  • Why are old torrents so slow/or stopped?

Bittorrent requires dedicated uploaders (called seeds) in order to work properly. So these seeds usually start off with people that are part of our distro crew. After a couple days to a week of "seeding", we tend to have other new releases we need to attend to. Hence when we leave, the only people left to seed are leechers themselves or nice fans who like to help people out. But even so, after a week, people start to leave the torrents to grab new stuff. This is when the torrents die... when there are no seeds for it.
We cannot keep the torrents alive 100% of the time, we just dont have enough resources for it. But we usually DO try to jump back onto the torrents if we see that there are a lot of people in need of the file. Solution? Grab new releases within the first couple days of a release or join our channeland get it from our multitude of fservs and bots. Also please dont come and complain that really doesnt make us happy at all. BT is not a right, it's a privilage. We're providing torrents for you because we want to, not because we need to. Keep that in mind next time. Learn more about BT by clicking on the Bittorrent guide above.

  • When will <insert series here> episode <insert number here> be released?

As much as we appreciate these questions, it's really a channel rule violation!
Keeping in mind that new episodes air once a week in Japan, we try to release about one episode a week as well. There isn't a set time or day of the week that we release something, it's just released when it's done!
Also keep in mind that we DO have lives and when something doesn't get released as fast its probably because we were busy in our real lives, so we just ask that you have a little patience and bare with us.
